This thing called Pinterest

Don't get me wrong, I love pinterest...it's just that I can spend hours on there. I'm pinning recipes I'll never make, crafts I never knew I even wanted to do & excercises that if I actually did them I would be so smokin hot! It's pretty addicting. I have actually tried some of the stuff though. The first thing I tried was the saline solution in mascara, no wait that was the second thing, the first was the big t-shirt turned into the vesty thing, that's cute! Anyhow I digress, the mascara trick. This actually works! I've added saline to my mascara 4 times now & it's still working. Talk about getting your $ worth. I love saving $. I'm going to use all this $ I'm saving to do fun shit! I tried this saline trick with my little concealer thing too & it worked. Just be careful to only use a couple drops so it doesn't get too diluted. What else have I tried....oh yeah apple cider vinegar & water rinse to stop my dogs from itching, mint mouthwash,vinegar & water sprayed on smelly carpet & furniture...lay newspaper over the top to absorb...wha la..smell gone. I'm cleaning everything with white vinegar & baking soda, works great! Why spend all the $ on chemicals that are poisonous anyhow & don't clean any better? WHY WHY WHY? I made my own laundry detergent for under $20 & it's gonna last a long time. I'm washing my hair with baking soda & water, rinsing with apple cider vinegar & water...it looks great, I'm on week 3 & I'm not going back. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP.....I bet I save hundreds of dollars. I'm going to make my own deodorant too. I haven't tried this one yet, but I will...use a cheap nice smelling conditioner (think Suave) dilute with water, probably 1/2 & 1/2. This is your new fabric softener! YEAH.....you can get bottles of conditioner at the dollar store....fabric softener is expensive & what does it really do...smells good. Now you can make your own smells. I'm fairly obsessed with all this....so there will be more posts about it..you can count on it!

This is my favorite photo from my last wedding & one of my favs of all time. I love when I try something..the light coming from above..and it comes across even better than I planned. Plus the fact that the kiss is perfect..her hands on his head, his arms wrapped around her! This was taken facing into the sun in the middle of Aug at just after 6pm. I was using my 24-105mm lens at about 50mm. ISO 100 with a flash fill set on manual with a homemade reflector deal I made. I got down low so I could see this lens flare..no lens hood! My settings were 200@f5.6. Give it a try! I got some nice sun flares on others, but I used the arbor to create the streaks on this one! I'm going to make some mustaches to use in photo shoots. I love this 70s look, kinda creeepy but really funny. We decided that these would make the most hysterical sunburn ever! I should have bought them but it probably would have drove me even crazier to actually wear them for more than the 30 secs I had them on to take this photo. It wasn't even the mustache that was so bad it was the stripes in the glasses! oh well, anything for a giggle!

Random Musings & such

I felt the need to start blogging because so much shit goes through my head in a day that I just need to write it down to share...I love to share..those of you who know me know that...I never shut up! So here it is my new blog. I can't promise I will blog everyday or even often, but then again I can't promise I won't blow this page up everyday! I will cuss & say inappropriate things so if that offends you then don't read this. I might vent too....yeah I'll definetely do that! Ok enough already.
